My Childhood

My Childhood আমার শৈশবকাল

Childhood is the most important and the sweetest period of every human life. Now, I am sixteen years old and a dweller of Dhaka city. The city is full of din and bustle . I find no mental peace here but I try to console my mind remembering those sweet days of my childhood and want to forget the monotony of city life. The memories of my madrasah days dominated my childhood. I visualise those early days of my childhood when I used to roam around the village same the stream passing through the village, the village market, the nearby pond where I used to bathe, and all these memories haunt my mind even today. In those days, many sad and happy events happened. The one sad event I still recall is the death of one of my playmates who was drowned in the river adjacent to our house. He did not know how to swim. One day we went to bathe in the river but soon he was drowned. We started screaming and the villagers rushed to the spot and searched him. When they found him, he was no more alive. All my other playmates and I cried seriously for him. This sad event of my childhood is not childhood days as those were the best time of my life. The happy and pleasant memories of those days forgettable. The days of my childhood were full of joys and sorrows. I wish I could go back to my still give me pleasure.
